Who are you?

My name is Hannah Stevens, I’m a recent graduate from Nottingham Trent University, UK.

Where are you?

I design and print my products from my tiny spare bedroom studio in Nottingham, UK.

Why do you hand make your products?

I love the quality and finish that can be achieved through hand screen printing, as well as the feeling of achievement when I finish each product. Making each product by hand means that each one is different, perhaps the colour is slightly different, or the print is in a different place, this makes all my products unique in a way.

How long did it take to make?

My range of cushions take around 1 hour ish to make each, this includes hand screen printing each layer of colour, cutting the fabric to size, a lot of ironing, machine stitching and finally the finishing touch of a little wooden label hand sewn on.

What dreams do you have for your products?

My dream for my products would be to see my collection grow, to have a range of products catering for all kinds of homes and people. I would love to be able to create a print for upholstering vintage furniture! That would be fantastic!

Where would you like to see them?

I would love to see my products stocked in shops all over the UK and perhaps abroad if possible… I would also be thrilled to see my products showcased in magazines one day too!

Thanks Hannah!
