Wrap Yourself Up This Fall

The crunch of the leaves, layering of sweaters, incorporating deep reds and mustard yellows into your color schemes…The Fall season has quite possibly more character than any other season and I for one am thrilled that October is upon us. One of my favorite activities when the weather is cooler is to cozy up under my favorite blanket to a magazine fresh off the press or on my iPad. However, it looks like I may be retiring my favorite plaid blanket for one of these gorgeous and environmentally friendly blankets I came across last week in the store “Revampt Goods” in Downtown Denver.

In gloriously soft recycled cotton blankets…

Did you know that growing organic cotton can initially require a tremendous amount of water?  That is why these particular blankets are made from scraps of cotton that have been tossed to the side from large cotton manufacturing houses. Working in New York, Jill Dietz and Lori Slater gather scraps of cotton, sort each scrap by color and re-weave them into these gorgeous, luxurious throws.  No dye is used in the production of these blankets at any point, making them even better for the environment than other blankets that require extensive resources to create.

The best part about these blankets is that you will feel like you wrapped in your favorite sweater. Yes, they are that soft.

These blankets come in a wide variety of colors and designs, including chevron, houndstooth and the manufacturer can even accommodate custom designs. Blankets are available in both standard sizes of 50” x 60” and baby sizes , 30” x 40”. Prices range from $58 to $130. Visit here or call Keir Myers at 72-536-5464 to order or for more information.
