Textiles Inspiration: Kaffe Fassett Born 1937

It’s really murky and grey outside today and whilst thinking of who to call on for todays Textiles Inspiration I was excited to think of Kaffe Fassett to brighten up our day! Why you ask? Because Kaffe Fassett is an absolute believer in the full on and outrageous use of COLOUR (yes, shouting…) and is a massive inspiration to those who quilt, knitpatchwork, needlepoint, make ceramics and mosaics the world over. Doesn’t he look like a cheery chap?

Kaffe Fasett is originally form San Francisco but moved to London in 1964 and has been there ever since. He has written over 30 books, made TV and Radio shows and was the first textile designer to have a one man show at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London in 1988.

Do you feel better yet?

I sure do…
