The Visu Chair by Mika Tolvanen for Muuto is in my mind ~ perfect. I can see it working in so many styles of rooms and households. It can sit in busy layouts and becomes a refreshing piece of simple furniture. In plain and modern spaces it can add character and form. Even drama if the right colour is chosen!
The design of the Visu Chair is a personal take by Mika Tolvanen on the classic plywood chair.
“I wanted my chair to have an unobtrusive and timeless nature that is familiar but never boring and without sacrificing function or ergonomics.”
Mika Tolvanen studied at the Royal College of Art and left with a Master in Design. He is part of the Finnish Rehti Design group. He has worked with some of the world’s top designers and manufacturers.
The Visu Chair can be bought from good design stores in lots of different combinations with metal or wooden bases, wooden or upholstered seat and is also available in it’s Lounge form, which is my favourite, especially the pink one with wooden legs below. You can also buy them online here they ship worldwide.
What do you think? Have you seen these on lots of blogs recently? They seem to pop up in photo shoots in lovely homes…
