Handmade Halloween: Chestnut Spiders

horse chestnut spiders
Chestnut Spiders are one of the easiest Halloween crafts to do with kids.

We loved making these little spiders. The best bit was actually the foraging outdoors; then seeing the kids faces light up as they transformed their favourite chestnuts (or conker where I’m from), into cute leggy spiders.

How to make Horse Chestnut Spiders

Decide which way up your chestnut spider should be and find the best spot for her eyes.

Add 4 small holes to your horse chestnut, either side, for your legs. (Caregiver job)

Cut your desired leg lengths out of the pipe cleaners.

Poke your pipe cleaners into the holes (you can add glue if you like)

Glue your eyes to your spider
Hope you enjoy making these.

Happy Halloween!
