100% satisfaction guaranteed, or your money back! All our products are handmade to the highest of standards, if something you purchase is not completely to your satisfaction, we will return your money once you have safely shipped them back to us.

 

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY DO YOU OFFER?

We currently offer a 5 year warranty on our Deck Chairs and footstools, this will cover structural damage of the joints due to manufacturing defects, we do not cover any wear and tear. There is also a one year warranty on fabric which strictly covers the sewing and not wear and tear due to use.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY FOR SALE ITEMS?

All sale items are final, they have been reduced to a price we think fare. Items may have small visual flaws, but we would never sell an item of furniture that is not structurally sound.

 

WILL I HAVE TO PAY CUSTOM FEES IF I’M ORDERING IN THE USA?

We are happy to say no! We pay a yearly bond so that our US customers do not get stung with a horrible customs fee after delivery. All we need is a phone number for you and $26 that goes directly to US customs.

 

WHY ARE YOUR DECK CHAIRS AND STOOLS DIFFERENT PRICES?

All our Deck Chair and stool frames are the same price, the price fluctuates according to the cost of the fabric. Some fabrics are more expensive than others.

 

HOW DO I CARE FOR THE FABRIC OR THE WOOD?

Please read the textiles labels sewn into each set. Or if you would like info before you buy, go to the Product Care section. We also tell you how to take care of your wooden frames here and you can access it whenever you require.

 

DO YOU SELL THE FABRIC SLINGS AND PILLOW CASES SEPARATELY?

Yes we do, you can buy these from the drop-down next to the add to cart button. Please check whether your desired sling has a pillow and whether you need a Kapok pillow insert. Our dimensions are 47cm x 115cm and there is a looped hem of 2cm for a 3/4″ dowel. Contact us if you have questions about this?

 

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SHIP AN ORDER?

Once you place and pay for your order you will get a confirmation email. We ship once a week and generally ship products within 2 weeks, depending on the time of year, the amount of stock we have and how busy we are. Need to know if something will arrive on time? Email us to ask.

 

HOW LONG WILL DELIVERY TAKE?

Depends on where you live. But usually shipments within North America take 5 days to deliver from our workshop, unless there are problems at the border, so please don’t forget to look out for emails from us asking for more information if necessary. If you wish to receive an order before the date we give you in our confirmation emails, you can expedite your packages with Express Shipping.

 

WHY USE WHITE OAK FOR OUTDOOR FURNITURE?

We wanted to use a North American species and White oak has tyloses that give the wood a closed cellular structure, making it both water and rot resistant. Because of this characteristic, white oak is used in cooperage for wine barrels and whiskey production. It is also used in construction, ship building and agricultural implements.

 

 

WHY USE TEAK FOR OUTDOOR FURNITURE?

Our teak products are hand crafted in Indonesia from high quality Grade A Teak. We only use teak wood that has been exclusively sourced from the Perum Perhutani Plantation, meaning it has been sourced from the government run forestry plantation that is managed responsibly and grown sustainably. Teak is one of the most beautiful and elegant hardwoods available and is extremely durable and strong. Teak is an ideal choice for outdoor furniture as it has rich natural oils locked into the grain of the wood that will protect it from rain, mold, insects, decay and dry rot. As teak weathers over time, the wood goes from a honey brown colour to a soft silvery-grey. These frames are meant to be enjoyed for lifetimes.

 

WHY USE KAPOK FOR YOUR PILLOWS?

We use Kapok because we believe it to be more environmentally friendly than Organic cotton.
Kapok is a natural alternative to conventional pillow stuffing. Kapok, a fiber extracted from the seed pod of the kapok tree, provides the baby soft touch and comfort of down, yet provides support in a way not even synthetic materials can match. It’s a natural alternative to the cruelty involved in extracting feathers from our winged friends.
The kapok is harvested in the rainforest, protecting the life ways and ecosystems of indigenous people, and hand-stuffed in the USA to make the most eco-friendly pillows on the market.The harvesting of the kapok pods provides jobs to indigenous people and helps maintain this vanishing ecosystem. Every Ceiba (Kapok) tree left standing is a step towards the preservation of the rain forest.
Since kapok grows wild in the rainforest, it’s grown without the use of any pesticides. No chemicals are added.
You can buy replacements if and when necessary.

Yes, we carry stock of a number of rent-able chairs. Please email or call us for details.

 

HOW DOES THE TREE DONATION WORK?

For each purchase of a Gallant & Jones Deck Chair we donate a tree to be planted by the Love Trees program.

 

ARE THERE ANY WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS?

Our chairs have been tested according to BIFMA standards and have been found to withstand a weight of 300lbs of appropriate repeated use.

 

CAN I LEAVE MY CHAIR OUT ALL YEAR ROUND?

Even though the chair has been treated with an eco friendly outdoor oil for superior outdoor and UV protection, it is always best to store it under cover and keep it out of the rain. It folds flat and is easy to store. The fabric and pillow sets on our Deck Chairs and stools are easily removable, we suggest you take these inside for prolonged use and to keep the colours bright.

 

CAN I BUY YOUR PRODUCTS IF I LIVE OUTSIDE NORTH AMERICA?

If you live outside North America please contact us by email and we will notify you of your shipping costs and help you process your order.

 

HOW HEAVY ARE YOUR CHAIRS? CAN I EASILY MOVE THEM AROUND?

Yes, our chairs are 6kg and can easily be carried to the beach or transported around your backyard.

 

DO YOU SELL TO TRADE?

Yes, we offer a discount with proof of your business tax ID…
Are you a Hotel or a Spa? We are able to add logo’s or insignia to fabric slings for your business, function or event. We can turn around large quantities within 8 weeks. Please email us your requests.
